LIBRARY FACILITIES BONDS
Shall the order adopted on August 8, 2016, authorizing not exceeding $44,725,000 Library Facilities Bonds of the County of Durham, North Carolina, for the purpose of providing funds, with any other available funds, for enlarging and improving library facilities of said County, including the expansion and improvement of the Main Library, and authorizing the levy of taxes in an amount sufficient to pay the principal of and the interest on said bonds, be approved?

Purpose
Funding will be used to improve and expand Durham County Library facilities, so that we may Encourage Discovery, Connect the Community and Lead in Literacy.
Potential Projects
Extensive renovations and a 20,000 square foot expansion to transform the current Durham County Main Library, located at 300 N. Roxboro Street, into a "Library of the Future." Current improvement plans include:
