Celebrate Public Health Month
Please join the Durham County Department of Public Health in celebrating National Public Health Week, held April 7-13. But why stop with a week? Public Health is recognizing the field with a number of engaging programs and initiatives that will continue throughout April. Here are a couple of highlights:
My Carolina Today: Officials from Public Health will appear on WNCN's lifestyles program on Monday, April 14 to discuss Public Health Month. The show is broadcast at 11:30 a.m. on WNCN (NBC 17).
Public Health, After Hours: The public is invited to a festive celebration of Public Health's programs and initiatives on Friday, April 25. The Public Health: After Hours event will include food trucks and a program to honor the department's 100-year anniversary. This celebration will take place at the Human Services Building from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
