
Durham Recognizes American Diabetes Month
The Durham Diabetes Coalition ran a full slate of engaging events in November to educate the community as part of American Diabetes Month.
These events included a community health fair and a tour designed to provide suggestions on how to shop for healthy foods.

Durham Bans E-cigarettes in Smoking Rule
E-cigarettes and similar types of electronic nicotine delivery systems are now banned from various public places in Durham due to updates to the Durham County Board of Health Smoking Rule.
"We must protect the public from the harms caused by tobacco use, including e-cigarettes," Public Health Director Gayle Harris said in a news release. "The aerosol generated by e-cigarettes is never comparable to clean air. Only clean air is clear air."
