Fight the Cankerworms
Have you seen those pesky green worms falling from trees? They stick to your clothes, hair, and squish under your feet. They are cankerworms, and they are a big problem for Durham’s trees.
Luckily, we can band together to save them by placing sticky bands around our trees. The bands capture the cankerworms and keep them from destroying these majestic trees.
We need your help to help us band together to save our trees. Trees Across Durham (TAD) is holding meetings in September and October for the public to learn about cankerworms and tree banding.
