Fight Cankerworms. Band Trees.
Trees Across Durham will host two upcoming "tree banding" sessions designed to protect the Bull City's tree canopy. Green worms threaten the trees, but wrapping the trunks now can keep the animals from doing damage later. The tree banding sessions take place at these times and locations next month:
Thursday, December 3 at 1 p.m. in Old North Durham - will meet in Bay-Hargrove Park at 208 Hargrove St.
Tuesday, December 8 at 1 p.m. in Walltown - will meet at the corner of Berkeley and Green streets
