Sheriff's Office Partners to Collect Old Medicine
The Durham County Sheriff's Office collected 47.5 pounds of unused medicine during a March collection drive. The campaign was designed to prevent poisonings and keep medications from entering the water supply. The Sheriff's Office collaborated with Safe Kids North Carolina and Durham County Public Health. Residents were able to drop off medicine at two area pharmacies, the Human Services Building, the Durham County Courthouse and the Sheriff's North Station in Rougemont.
